About Kro Postal

For as long as I can remember I have exchanged letters with my Great Aunt Rose. I have quite a collection now of seeds and pictures and letters of kind, encouraging words. I can go back to them now and re-read and re-live those memories. Each letter transports me to 15 years, 20 years, 1 year ago. Although I'm an avid email writer, there is something tactile and wonderful about getting a letter, and if I'm lucky, a package in the mail. As I've picked up and moved again, leaving friends 100's of miles away as I move on, the amount of package sending and receiving has increase. It's a wonderful way to stay connected to people who are far away in a more personal, physical way.

I love compiling packages for friends and family. Trying to stay in that "large envelope" rate by finding flat light weight items to send them. Making handmade stationary to write my words on or making cards and journals and little art works just for them.

There is just something so sweet about getting a package in the mail. I want to share that. I want to share that feeling with more than just my friends, with everyone!

I have the shop divided into three sections:
1) Handmade post - this is original stationary and note cards that I have designed myself.
2) Vintage post - this is vintage stationary and note cards that I have found, wonderful treasures from antique shops, garage sales, and the like.
3) Hooray, Post! - this category is filled with all those wonderful items to put in your packages, both handmade and vintage. The items in this category are all meant to keep you in the large envelope mailing rate (3/4" thick, 12" tall, 15" wide), so they are all relatively flat and light weight!

I hope you will join me in the pursuit of making getting mail fun again! Just say no to junk mail!
